Cloudio
See how we did it ourselves
01 — The founders
Cloudio was founded by two seasoned professionals who love making serious things effortlessly accessible. If you’ve ever shopped in a store, bought something online, travelled abroad or ordered food to your door, you’ve almost certainly used a service one of them designed, ran or rolled out in Central Europe.
02 — Tested on ourselves
We use our own systems ourselves. Below, we use our own example to show how Cloudio’s services can build a strong online presence. Whatever we recommend to you, we tried on ourselves first. If we wouldn’t want to use it, we wouldn’t hand it to you either.
03 — The name and the colours
First we picked a company name: Cloudio — from “cloud” and “input/output”. Then came the colours.
Coral
Black
White
Pale blue
04 — The logo
Then came the logo: first on paper, by hand, then after a few rounds, digitally too. The “i” in “io” got a second dot.
The first sketches
The final logo
05 — The mascot
Then the logo took on a life of its own: first it grew eyes, then a body. Before we knew it, we had a snail. We never planned a mascot — it simply moved into the brand, and Cloudio the snail was born. (Or is it Cloudio the alien? The worm?)
06 — Studio
We built our pages in Studio, and picked the structure and blocks that fit the brand’s visual language — a bit like a flip book, which is where the inspiration for the whole thing came from.
07 — Launch
We stick to three things:
Try it with us, and have an online presence you love, too.
